# Our token - $MXDT

By owning our $MXDT tokenholders can do the following:
:bank: **Asset-backed currency:** instead of keeping high amounts of ingame currency, players can simply hold their tokens in their wallet and stake it. As $MXDT is an asset-backed token the value of the token will not decrease as long as these assets remain of value. This is a big difference to the normal ingame inflation that can lose up to 30% p.a. for most games. This is also a big difference to many other crypto currencies that do not have an underlying value-driver.
:money\_with\_wings: **Yield generation:** players can also invest their new tokens, stake it or provide liquidity ("LP") or invest into other blockchain-based investment service. Token holders will also be able to exclusively receive our own NFTs which will entail specific financial benefits to its holders.
:fast\_forward: **Efficient transactions:** players can immediately start playing blockchain-based games without using FIAT payment processs that can take weeks and are costly. Selling a 10 USD item to a buyer abroad is not really profitable with FIAT payment.
